THE Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) is expected to release the results of about 1.3million candidates that sat for the 2018 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) on Tuesday.
JAMB Registrar and Chief Executive, Professor Is-haq Oloyede had announced that the results of the 2018 UTME would be delayed to enable the Board scrutinise the results and resolve issues involving the conduct of the examination before they are released.
He explained that this would forestall a situation where results of candidates were cancelled because of irregularities after release.
The JAMB Head of Information, Dr Fabian Benjamin, confirmed to Nigerian Tribune, the Board held a crucial meeting on Monday over the results and that some results were to be released after the meeting or tomorrow.
Benjamin, also disclosed that no other result had been released after the first batch of over 300,000 results that were released.
